Earth 2071

Earth 2071 was my very first bigger project created in 2019, when i started learning 3D in Maya. It took quite a lot of time (a few months), since vast majority was modeled by me from scratch and as I was still discovering and learning many new things every single day of working on it. Topology isn't always the best and some parts could use a bit more care, as you can see on the wireframe. Majority of the textures were simple tri-planar projections or very basic UVs created in Maya. But i didn't know anything about softwares such as Substance Painter or so by that time. There is also lack of imperfections such as dirt in cavities or worn edges. Many light sources were added in the development of the atmosphere I was after, totalling 40 in the final image. I used Arnold as a renderer. And at that time on a 4 core i5 CPU it took around 24 hours to render single 4k picture.
